DRAFT REGULATIONS PRESCRIBING THE ATMOSPHERIC EMISSION

The Minister of Environmental Affairs has, in terms of sections 53(o), 37(2)(a), 44(3)(a), 45(1) and 47(3)(a) read with section 57(1) of the National Environmental Management: Air Quality Act 39 of 2004, given notice of her intention to make the Regulations prescribing the Atmospheric Emission Licence Processing Fee.
The processing fees are as set out in the schedule to the notice and differ depending on the number of listed activities which are conducted, or to be conducted. The Regulations further prescribe different fees in respect of new, review, renewal or transfer applications. The processing fees range from R2 000 to R400 000.
Members of the public are invited to submit written representations or objections to the draft regulations within 30 days of publication of this Notice (i.e. on or before 13 July 2015).
